Coffee Shop that Employs those with Disabilities Coming to Winston-Salem

A new coffee chain called Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is coming to the Triad.

This all-inclusive coffee shop employs more than 80 percent of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Amy and Ben Wright founded the shop four years ago in honor of their children, Bitty and Beau, who both have down syndrome.

Founder Amy Wright was was named 2017 CNN Hero of the Year.

The Winston Salem franchise owners say it’s expected to open sometime in the summer of 2021.

They’re still looking at different locations for the shop.

Moji Coffee is another coffee shop in the area that employs those with different abilities.
